Poland’s economy is accelerating faster than economists’ forecasts, easing concerns about global recovery. Poland’s Purchasing Managers’ Index rose to a 37 month high with the fastest growth in production seen since March 2007. link

That is a good news. Poland needs this growth in face of challenges related to Euro 2012 and badly needed modernization of road and rail networks. As well as modernization of its armed forces.

While PM Tusk is appeasing Russian government risking Poland's influence and credibility in the region President Komorowski seems to be on the right path. Strong Weimar Triangle may increase Poland's influence in the EU. That may be needed in face of Russian diplomatic offensive designed to pressure EU to form Russian-EU "partnership."
